Dallas, Texas (February 21, 2016) – Nine years ago, Gina Grant, CEO of Women That Soar, realized there was a dire need to present women from all walks of life in a positive light and to tell their stories of empowerment. The inaugural Women That Soar awards show was held in 2007 and was billed as a local gala honoring women throughout the nation and recognizing their oft-times daunting journeys to success.
Fast-forward nine years: The current Women That Soar awards show format is the preeminent celebration of women and continues to be the ONLY televised awards show, in the region, that showcases the accomplishments of a diverse group of internationally renown, brilliant women. Past honorees include: Marta Fox, former First Lady of Mexico; Her Royal Highness, Princess Reema Bandar; Nina Vaca, CEO and Chairman of Pinnacle Technical Resources; Tina Knowles, stylist and entrepreneur; Nancy Lieberman, Assistant Coach of the Sacramento Kings; Joanne King Herring, Anita Perry, Nha Khan, fashion designer; Jenelle Friedman and Yvonne Crum.
The successful efforts of Women That Soar to build a platform inclusive of culture, diversity and unity will culminate in the final Women That Soar gala in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas Hilton Anatole on Sunday, November 13, 2016.
