Ms. Lisa Tatum, a 2007 Texas Rising Star by SuperLawyers, was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1995.

Lisa Tatum, Smith College Graduate, is the proud owner of LM Tatum, PLLC, informally known as The Tatum Law Practice, established in 2011. Her firm focuses primarily on corporate, employment and public finance law. The firm also serves in the capacity of Underwriter’s Counsel and Co-Bond Counsel providing legal services related to financial transactions and is listed in The Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace (The Red Book) as Co-Bond Counsel and Underwriter’s Counsel. The firm also provides
legal services in the area of simple estate/contingency planning affording her corporate clients an opportunity to meet personal needs with her firm’s assistance as well.

Lisa is admitted to practice law before all courts of the state of Texas, the United States District Court of the Western District and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She received her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she was inducted as a national member of the Order of Barristers.

Lisa is a member of many law-related organizations. She is currently President of the State Bar of Texas, 2013-2014, and the first African-American to serve in the office.

She enjoys her service and loves being a lawyer. Lisa is a Leadership San Antonio graduate and a lifelong supporter of the YMCA. She is also a Rotarian and active in local chambers.

Like all hardworking women, Lisa strives for the ever shifting balance of work/life/volunteering. Her pathway through leadership has been “remarkable” in her own words. Desirous to surround herself with passionate, hardworking and brilliant people, involvement has become a way of life.
